Common questions

Pricing, Straight Up

What discounts do you offer?

New customers get $65 off their first service, and it stacks with more: a free CCTV drain inspection with any jet blast, a free plumbing check-over when a job's worth $200 or more, a garden tap thrown in free with any paid job, and 20% off for seniors. None of it needs a coupon code.

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

We size up the job, then quote you one price before we start any work. That figure is what you pay, whether the job takes twenty minutes or two hours, with no hourly rate ticking over in the background.

What does '$65 off your first service' cover?

It comes straight off the bill for any first-time customer, on any of our blocked drain services. There's nothing to spend first and no fine print, it's simply $65 less than you'd otherwise be quoted.

Do prices change once you start?

No, the price we agree before we start is the price on the invoice. If the scope changes, we stop and talk it through with you first, rather than surprise you at the end.

Common questions

Who's Responsible for What

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Every drain we clear or repair carries a lifetime labour warranty, no conditions attached. If the same fault comes back because of our workmanship, we return and fix it again at no cost to you.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

A plunger, or hot water straight from the kettle, sorts a simple sink clog fine. Anything past that, a toilet, a floor drain, or a sewer line, counts as drainage work, and NSW rules mean it needs a licensed plumber on the tools.

What standards does drainage work follow?

Our plumbing and drainage work is carried out to AS/NZS 3500, the Australian plumbing standard. It covers everything from pipe sizing to how a repair has to be finished, and it's the same standard licensed plumbers work to across the state.

Do wipes really block drains?

Wipes are the single biggest culprit we pull out of a blocked pipe. Packaging that says 'flushable' doesn't mean the wipe breaks down, and it catches on the smallest rough joint until a blockage builds behind it.

Common questions

How Fast We Get to You

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes, we work every single day, public holidays included. Blockages don't pick a convenient moment, and neither do we.

What happens after I call?

A real person hears what's going on and books you in, often for the same day. Our plumber turns up, confirms the price on the spot, and gets to work once you've said go.

How fast can you get here?

Same-day for most jobs. Once you've called, we lock in a time that works for you rather than making you wait around all day for a window.

Are you really available 24/7?

Whatever time you call, someone real answers the phone, not a voicemail or an overseas call centre. If it's the middle of the night and water's coming up somewhere it shouldn't, that call still gets picked up.

Common questions

The Smithfield Questions

How local are you, really?

We don't run a shopfront in Smithfield, but it's firmly on our regular round, from the streets near Prospect View Park through to the homes further out. What matters more than a street address is turning up prepared and quoting the price before we start.

Do tree roots cause many blockages around Smithfield?

Often, yes. Smithfield's housing mostly went up after the war, and older clay drainage under mature yard and street trees is an easy target for roots chasing moisture through a cracked joint.

Can you handle new builds and renovations here?

Yes. Newer PVC drainage clears differently to the older clay runs still common on established blocks, so we match the method, jetting, camera work or a full clear, to whatever's actually down there before we start.

Do you handle strata and units?

Yes, including the townhouse and unit blocks built as infill on older house blocks, the sort you'll find near Smithfield Medical and Dental Centre on The Horsley Drive. Shared drain runs mean a blockage in one unit can show up in another, so we check the whole line, not just the one fixture.
